While developing a client’s e-commerce app, we used Appium to automate complex user flows seamlessly

it allows us to leverage existing Selenium expertise for mobile automation.

Appium is an excellent choice for mobile testing. Start small—automate basic flows first—then expand to more complex scenarios once you’re comfortable with the setup.

Appium is an excellent tool to choose because it supports both iOS and Android applications. Additionally, it is compatible with a wide range of programming languages, providing great flexibility.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Appium is widely recognized for mobile application automation testing, offering the capability to integrate third-party libraries to enhance performance. One of its standout features is the flexibility to use any programming language for test automation. Moreover, it is easy to implement as it is built on the Selenium framework.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Appium lacks built-in functionality for generating test reports, requiring integration with third-party reporting tools to produce reports. Additionally, handling mobile gestures in Appium can be challenging and requires extra effort to manage effectively.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

I recommend using Appium if you need a flexible tool for automating both iOS and Android apps, but be prepared to integrate third-party tools for reporting and put extra effort into handling mobile gestures.
