What is your favorite aspect of this product?

The first section of the template is called Headlines for a reason. It's where you'll share at a glance the most important information you want readers to understand. This can include milestones you've achieved, shortcomings or difficulties preventing you from progressing, any major risks, and other news such as changes in the team. This is a way for people who aren't going to read all the content to see the highlights - it's the time to talk numbers. Use the Business Analysis section to report progress on your top three or four business metrics.

What do you dislike most about this product?

One problem users may face when using Confluence is trying to edit a document while someone else is editing it. Although users can access the reference and save it, they can't see the changes happening that other users are implementing until they refresh their page. Some users have also noted that this can result in lost edits. Some of the components can be a bit complicated to use and configure on pages.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Objectives and key results are a phenomenal way to keep the team aligned with measurable goals. But they are even more useful when watching your progress. In the objectives and key results section and supporting staff initiatives, report performance on your top two or three objectives and key results. Specify the objective and add a brief description; then break down the outcomes and related important developments. You don't need to cover all the details here: you can use the expanded sections to link to Jira tickets on objectives and key results for anyone who wants more information.

What differentiates Confluence from other similar products?

We are currently using it to store and share our project documents with our colleagues and superiors and it has been of great benefit due to a vast improvement in our workflow, information distribution, communication and internal collaboration. It's nice to have such an extraordinarily amazing resource as Atlassian Confluence.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

I like Confluence for its ease of use, user interface simplicity and other operational features that allow for more organized and efficient management of documents within a single space; which has helped promote collaboration and improve information flows exponentially. Atlassian Confluence has a good support staff and the cost of this product does not escape our budget at all.

What do you dislike most about this product?

It is not the most intuitive or user-friendly software, but with practice you will overcome the learning curve and take advantage of its many benefits.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Atlassian Confluence is here to stay because of its ease of use and the practical way it connects teams and improves the flow of information and documents. We can take great advantage of its ability to manage documents, make information flow better and keep teams connected to ensure high productivity and good results. I would highly recommend this software.

What differentiates Confluence from other similar products?

Confluence differentiates itself from the rest of the products similar to it by providing unique features like Presentation mode for its templates (which themselves are sourced from best-in-class Product firms).

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Confluence hosts a whole lot of great features, such as Spaces, Access management, document upload, and on-platform editing among others. But. the feature I like the most is the Templates. Our Product team at ZS uses readily available templates of Creative Brief, Product Requirements, and Product Roadmap for goal planning, requirement gathering & requirement documentation, and roadmap planning respectively. The best thing is we replicate these templates as-is for all the products in our product portfolio and this helps maintain the standardization of the documents.

What do you dislike most about this product?

There is nothing that I dislike about Confluence. The only thing which I would suggest is that Confluence pages are cluttered with information, providing too many things for the user to explore on the first try, which becomes intimidating. Maybe the Overview page of a Space could be simplified further and a help guide link could be provided to understand the host of features provided in detail.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

I would recommend every team working on building Products use Confluence for team management and knowledge sharing. It has all the things that a team needs - starting from something as simple as a place to capture meeting notes to something as important as a template to prepare a detailed roadmap of the product involving goals and budget constraints among others. It will help increase transparency and increase team efficiency by at least 50%.
