What differentiates Confluence from other similar products?
Confluence creates an environment where all business lines can work together in a streamlined process.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
The ability to share and tag additional team members to pages is a huge win. This allows our team to collaborate on different projects and create client specific pages that all team members can edit and add timelines.
What do you dislike most about this product?
Confluence does take work to organize. It is easy to create multiples pages / sections that can easily get out of control unless there is a prior organizational plan prepared.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Understand that Confluence will take some training to fully utilize the services to maximize value. With that in mind, the tool is a great option that all team members can utilize and learn to create seamless communication and version control across the organization.

What differentiates Confluence from other similar products?
Documents are often shared with multiple users and altered by team members or can be secured down by restricting area permissions to form certain compliant documents. The out-there templates are good, and therefore the ability to make customizable templates could be a nice feature. The power to link documents together or jump to totally different document sections using Anchors is a good feature. The customizable HTML plugins are particularly nice to make your pages look almost pretty much as good as a creatively designed webpage.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
Confluence could be a great tool for any company however significantly start-ups need ways to standardize info sharing. You’ll simply produce shared learning areas and locations for various teams, policies, and company segments.
What do you dislike most about this product?
It doesn’t incorporate options like storing the files and videos involving documentation, and it needs another integration for achieving the functionality. There’s some drawback with Authentication because it lags a few times.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
If you lack documentation for your environment, it might be the best software system to use. Use the cloud-based option, thus there’s no infrastructure setup required.

What differentiates Confluence from other similar products?
Our company uses CONFLUENCE in almost all departments, as it has helped us to organize daily tasks and assign activities to staff. The best thing is that all the information is stored in one place, which makes it easy to search and access.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
The search option is very useful to find tasks, projects or any other notes that have been made in the project, it saves us the time to search for each of the projects. Being able to follow the files that are in the cloud and know who is editing them is a great advantage.
What do you dislike most about this product?
It does not have a Gantt chart to see the progress of the activities. If it had a chat, it would be much easier to communicate between employees or some integration with an instant messaging application. Some team members found it difficult to use because of its many tools.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
We found it to be a very complete tool for what we need within our organization. Keeping an order with the assigned projects, having interaction with the rest of the project members leaving comments and important notes on the tasks makes the software more dynamic and useful.
