Amazing Automation and Patch Management

What differentiates ConnectWise Automate from other similar products?

Connectwise is the top dog for MSPs and Automate is well known by a lot. I personally love the UI, probably because I've known it forever now

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Creating automation scripts and patch management. There is so much it does

What do you dislike most about this product?

Sometimes it can be a bit clunky and take awhile for things to load. I really don't like that the fat client(installed app) and the web version don't have the same features. For instance, in the web UI version they have a new AI tool to create scripting which is awesome but you can't utilize it in the fat client and the web UI doesn't have the ability to retire agents and some other things that the fat client has. I pretty much live in the fat client because it has more available.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

I don't have any references to pricing myself but I hear it's expensive but I know if you can afford it that CW Automate is amazing. Their support has been pretty bad over the years though so I primarily rely on MSP Geek chats in discord/slack. If you are going to use Automate you must join that so others using it will be able to help you out.

What differentiates ConnectWise Automate from other similar products?

Because it's a ConnectWise product, the integration with PSA is going to be better than other tools, there's lots of great tools out there that integrate with PSA but like CPQ, imo and from what I hear, it has the smoothest integration

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Integration to PSA to update agreement numbers

What do you dislike most about this product?

It is a complicated program!

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

If you're an engineer, you speak the language but if not, get help implementing it for sure

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

If you are an MSP that wants to save engineer and customer time there is no other RMM out there that can compete with ConnectWise Automate. If you are an MSP that doesn't have alot of scripting/coding experience and just want surface level ticketing, you should look for another platform as this is best suited for full throttle automation.

What do you dislike most about this product?

The fat client is not stable but they are working on a web client The web client doesn't have all the features as the fat client ConnectWise Automate Support not always the fastest at resolving known issues

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

The desktop admin client is cumbersome. It takes a significant amount of time to load the application and you must refresh your session every 24 hours. The 24 hour time-out wouldn't be an issue if it didn't close the application when the session expired but rather let you just re-authenticate.
