As a UX designer, I find Google Forms to stand out due to its smooth integration with the wider Google Workspace. This ensures a consistent user experience that's already familiar to many. The simplicity in creating forms with a drag-and-drop interface is a big plus, making it accessible for designers and non-designers alike. The real-time collaboration features also make it easy for our team to work together efficiently on form designs.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

I think another key aspect of Google Forms, particularly valuable for UX designers, is its effectiveness in collecting data for UX research. The ability to easily create surveys and gather user feedback through a simple and intuitive interface contributes significantly to the research phase. The seamless integration with other Google Workspace tools ensures a smooth flow of data, making the research process more streamlined and collaborative. This capability enhances the overall user experience design workflow, making Google Forms a versatile tool for both design and research needs.

What do you dislike most about this product?

I believe one drawback of Google Forms is that, despite its simplicity, it may lack some of the advanced features that UX designers might need for intricate survey designs. Additionally, the customization options for the form's appearance are somewhat limited. These limitations could be a consideration for more complex UX research projects or when a highly customized visual design is crucial.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

If you're considering Google Forms, my advice is to start with simple surveys, as it's user-friendly. Take advantage of its seamless integration with Google Workspace for efficient collaboration. It's ideal for standard surveys but may lack advanced features for more complex needs. The real-time collaboration feature is excellent for teamwork, and don't forget to experiment with embedding forms into websites for enhanced user engagement.

What differentiates Google Forms from other similar products?

Google forms are completely customisable forms. We can create any number of fields, save their responses in Google sheets for the analysis and review purpose which makes it extremely helpful tool. We also integrated the forms through APIs in the development of custom built project

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Within Google Forms we can write the code. We can customise the template easily to respond back or confirmation emails. Our requirements like setting up our own branding, custom email templates with dynamic data fulfilled by only Google Forms.

What do you dislike most about this product?

I really appreciate the way Google forms is working with incorporation of Google sheets. Also it provides support to a lot of free addons so I don't remember any negative point at the moment

If someone wants to create online forms for surveys or informational purposes I will highly recommend that you make use of Google forms
