What differentiates Ivanti Neurons for ITSM from other similar products?

The continuing development of the product with additional features and capabilities and the learning courses available for free in their learning portal. Their support desk, knowledge base, and forums are excellent. I also participate in their User Group meeting which provides a wealth of knowledge and allows me to bounce ideas off others using this product. FootPrints had none of these features.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Ease of administration and robust features available within one product versus multiple tools to do the same job.

What do you dislike most about this product?

User interface and flexibility of users to customize their own dashboards with information pertinent to them. Ease of upgrades through the hosted services and support portal.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Ask for a POC and time to work with the product ahead of a purchase. Spend time with the sales engineer asking specific questions about your use case and ask for example companies with similar use cases. Don't be shy about asking for multiple demonstrations and have the demonstrations tailored to your use case for the product.

What differentiates Ivanti Neurons for ITSM from other similar products?

The ability to deliver value through the tool as a platform without the need for niche development resources allows us to deliver change rapidly. Customer satisfaction is also a differentiator - with steady growth and industry presence, Cherwell Service Management is a product we have confidence in from a company we expect to be a major player in the space for a long time.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

The flexibility and the agility with which change can be delivered.

What do you dislike most about this product?

The disparity between the web based application and the client version. As the web based version matures, we expect the gap to narrow between the two but in the meantime there are still distinct advantages to the client version over the web based application.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Do some concurrent user analysis in the current / legacy tool (if applicable) to help guide the sizing decision for licensing.
