What differentiates Microsoft Power BI from other similar products?

Power BI is efficient, scalable and easy to use and implement; it makes it easy to connect to various data sources, such as Excel, SQL Server and SAP, which is often a complicated and cumbersome process with other tools; it also offers several options to visualize data in different drafts and views, and its technical support is quite good and responsive.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

I like its stability and intuitiveness, in addition to the fact that the initial configuration is quite simple, as well as its ability to customize using the DAX language. In addition, its interface is very simple and accessible to everyone. We manage the data of all the operations and processes of our organization, and its implementation has allowed us to have a quick overview of the most critical indicators of the operational processes of our platform, helping us to strengthen decision-making and the effectiveness of our processes.

What do you dislike most about this product?

I think licensing should be improved. I think the middle ground between the Pro and Premium versions would be good; also, the design of the mobile application should be optimized; it needs some modifications.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Power BI is an excellent data analysis tool; it is especially recommended if you want to develop a self-service dashboard or drill down into data. It is easy to create reports, even if you are not familiar with business intelligence tools or data visualizations. It also performs very well when generating reports and has an incredibly responsive technical support team.

What differentiates Microsoft Power BI from other similar products?

While it is true that in our work environment we handle various types of reports detailing the metrics managed at the operational level, each of these reports obtains its data from various sources; Power BI, unlike other similar products, allows the acquisition of data from multiple sources to be refined and processed in order to display in a fully readable and graphical way the results of the required analysis. Thanks to the data connectors this analysis provides fantastic and visually appealing results which are easy to access by anyone who has access to them.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

The most important feature from my perspective is the ability to create my own custom dashboard which I can share with my work group or with the community that works with this tool, thanks to this I have also been able to make use of great templates created by the community of users which facilitated the visualization of my company's data.

What do you dislike most about this product?

To perform complex data analysis or in engineering fields it is necessary to resort to DAX language implementation, perhaps with a solid base of Excel things can be a little simple otherwise it requires a long learning curve to take full advantage of it.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Power BI is one of those necessary tools in any organization because it allows you to analyze in sufficient depth the native data of your company and at the same time show them in a simple way to understand, this is very useful for decision making and to determine if you are on the right track or not.
