What is your favorite aspect of this product?

The capacity to automate tasks and information, as well as receive task updates. For a project manager, automation saves time by allowing for automated follow-up and updates. Except for business apps, which are simply a better GUI for sheets than viewing them individually, SmartSheet's main strength is that it does not require costly licensing for collaboration in most cases. This is why we chose SmartSheet over Monday.com and other similar services.

What do you dislike most about this product?

SmartSheet isn't really clever. Formula implementation isn't always done effectively, and it can be painful at times. Customers must pay for a pricey add-on in order to pivot data, which makes no sense. This ought to be included as a regular feature. On paper, the dashboard experience sounds fantastic, however SmartSheet dashboards aren't great, and the ability to view data isn't flexible or intuitive, resulting in a terrible user experience. It's not PowerBI or Table, and I don't expect it to be, but it should aspire to be more like those when it comes to data visualization.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Smartsheet is an excellent tool for keeping departments and teams up to date on project and task status. While I wish it had more logic capabilities, the advantages far exceed any disadvantages. During the initial learning curve, I found the lessons, help pages, and convenience of contact with a live customer service professional to be really beneficial.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

In Smartsheet, I am able to consolidate and standardize all of our company templates and tools, which I appreciate and enjoy. Through the use of Smartsheet, I was able to create an extensive ERP system with a variety of modules and resources. Imagination is the only limit to what can be done. There are a lot of tools that we developed on our own and didn't optimize or share with other departments of the company. What do you dislike most about this product?

Nothing! When it comes to delivering on its promises, Smartsheet excels. No shortage of tools and opportunities to implement them exist within it - with a little bit of innovation thrown in for good measure. It seems as if new tools are added almost weekly because the development team is responsive and creative. Still, it would be nice to have some of the more obscure Excel formulas included in the mix. Even Excel can't duplicate some formulas in Smartsheet, however, because of the database structure that's hidden under the hood of Smartsheet. What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

If you have a specific goal in mind, make sure you sketch it out and understand your toolkit options to get there. sheets, reports, dashboards, form builder, automations (there are so many! ), Gantt, cards and charts and attachments are just a few of them. It is possible to create amazing things using these.

What differentiates Smartsheet from other similar products?

A project management flow that is easy to build, customize, follow, and maintain that combines the aesthetic of an excel sheet with the functionality of a Google doc. The features of proofing, chat, and attachments are all built-in.

What do you dislike most about this product?

You can't merge cells or rows, forms don't have validation, proofing doesn't have custom messaging options, and you can't pick the entire team using "@all," so you have to tag team members individually, which could be a pain for larger organizations.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

It's worth a shot. It has the potential to be useful, collaborative, and interesting, and some smart people are working hard to make it so. They also have a good, thriving community as well as well-written help documentation.
