Stickies That Don’t Fall Off: Our Trello Life

Likeliness to Recommend

9 /10

What differentiates Trello from other similar products?

If you’ve ever tried managing three onboarding plans, two offboarding checklists, and a last-minute wellness campaign without losing your mind, Trello is that friend who shows up with color-coded Post-its and snacks. It looks deceptively simple, like “Pinterest for productivity,” but honestly? Trello’s been our no-frills, drag-and-drop secret weapon in HR. Especially for those of us who live for visuals but die a little inside when faced with clunky spreadsheets.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

The power-ups have been lowkey incredible. We’ve got Trello synced with Slack, Google Drive, and even some silly-but-useful HR polls. The calendar view is especially clutch when we’re prepping content for internal campaigns or scheduling onboarding tasks; it turns chaos into a nice little grid of sanity.

What do you dislike most about this product?

You can’t really scale workflows without it getting a bit bloated. Card comments become graveyards, and unless everyone’s super organized (lol), boards can turn into digital junk drawers.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Would I recommend Trello? Yep, for HR teams who need structure without strictness. It’s especially good if you’re more visual, love cross-functional work, and don’t want to wait on devs to build you a custom workflow tool. Just set some board rules early, or it’ll start looking like a digital garage sale by Q2.
