Great platform for remote work!

Likeliness to Recommend

9 /10

What differentiates Microsoft Teams from other similar products?

Probably its user-friendly navigation. As a non-tech savvy person, the self-paced training and easy design allowed me to get a hang of Teams quite quickly, unlike other messaging or video platforms.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

I think it's so well integrated with the rest of the Microsoft environment! I work remotely, so working with my team on collaborative docs is very important, so we sync teams to SharePoint and access the same. Its also really convenient to just switch from a text/messaging to a quick call- so quite wholesome really!

What do you dislike most about this product?

The mobile app is honestly so bad, it doesn't notify me of new messages, and I always miss them unless I check my laptop or manually open the app. This is quite annoying, especially when my notifications are enabled on my phone- so it definitely lowers reliability on the app.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

I think to really know the needs of your teams, before moving to this platform. It's great for teams that need the integration with multiple platforms such as SharePoint, Outlook, etc but if one just needs video conferences- then stick with a simpler application like Zoom maybe.

Pros

  • Reliable
  • Performance Enhancing
  • Enables Productivity
  • Trustworthy

What differentiates Microsoft Teams from other similar products?

Microsoft Teams works well for large-scale organizations to have a robust messaging and meeting system. It integrates effectively with other Microsoft products, making it super easy and simple to use the Microsoft ecosystem, such as Outlook and Word, with the software.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

It is easy to integrate with calendar functionality. The video conferencing is very reliable.

What do you dislike most about this product?

It has quite clunky UI and is slow to load. The "Teams" channel functionality goes unused.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

If you are already using the Microsoft ecosystem, it's an easy recommendation and a natural fit for a messaging and video conferencing application.
