What differentiates Microsoft Teams from other similar products?

I communicate with my colleagues for my research project on Teams only. It makes it much easier to record all our presentations, share documents, and then access all of that in just one place. The best part is that all the members can have access and make changes whenever necessary.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Microsoft Teams is very versatile and they keep working on the app for a better experience. I like how I can directly join my meetings from the calendar and keep track of my numerous meetings in such an elaborate interface. Teams has great security options both while joining the meeting and giving permissions for people joining a particular team. They have worked over time to finally provide an easy interface that makes it more professional looking as well. All my screen recordings and shared documents can be found in one place helping me keep track of my work easily.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Teams does not send relevant notifications at all. The greatest drawback is that it does not remind you when it's time for a meeting. There are options to tweak notifications but they seem to be useless. I have tried them for a year now, and I still do not receive any useful notifications from Teams.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Microsoft Teams is overall a good chat program. It's well suited to small meetings and chats, especially within your organization. I really like the scheduling functions and how easy it is to invite someone. However, we used it for classes and it could be kind of a pain in the neck. Like other chat programs, it doesn't do interactivity well. It's tough to get people involved in a chat. I also wish I could do more with my presentations. As this is a Microsoft program, you'd think it would integrate with PowerPoint better, but it doesn't. I also can't understand why I can't play the sound on a video I'm sharing with my Mac.

What differentiates Microsoft Teams from other similar products?

The tool bases its essence on teamwork, encouraging the collaboration of all the group members. It has practical and specific functions that facilitate this task, such as the wall where you can chat in real time and where the members can express their opinions on the topic discussed at the meeting, as well as the virtual blackboard where you can express your ideas in a more manual way when you need to make some kind of graphic.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

The recording feature is ideal for storing information held in meetings in the cloud with clean integration with other Microsoft applications such as Sharepoint, allowing any team member to access that information from anywhere at any time.

What do you dislike most about this product?

In split-screen mode, many details of the speaker are lost since it does not cover the entire viewing area, i.e. it is visually a bit uncomfortable if you need to analyze details of slides or images displayed.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Among the many business tools for business communication this is one of the strongest options and provides a significant number of functions, teamwork will now bear fruit and results in the short term with the use and implementation of Microsoft Teams as it provides essential elements to the work that is performed daily in any organization.

The integration with Office365 products.
