Great product for product and project management and scrum development

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Very good product to apply scrum and kanban

What do you dislike most about this product?

Mobile app is not great and it's not easy to implement

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

As integration and migration from other tools are quite complex I would suggest exploring other solutions

What differentiates Jira from other similar products?

If you are looking for an IT-focused project management system, nothing can compare to Jira. Jira was designed with SDLC and Agile/Scrum in my mind, and when used for that purpose, it is the premier solution. The epic and task mapping with prebuilt burndown reports are powerful and straightforward. It is simple for employees to estimate work, track history, and store business artifacts.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Managing a development project, the workload distribution and timing assumptions are extraordinary. It is simple to share work and “sub-task” support items to others while enabling email notifications to people outside the system, providing integrated progress updates.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Jira is built for software development in mind, but not portfolio management. Though you can “swimlane” all projects, it is not easy to track all unstarted epics, forcing you to rely on outside products. There is also a steep learning curve for administrators with their query language that needs to be used.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

If you need to organize a software/IT development team, this is the standard. If you need something for general PM (process, etc.), you are better off with another solution, like Microsoft PM or Confluence.
